See Space Center Houston and The Johnson Space Center.  See a Saturn 5 rocket up close and personal.  Touch a moon rock.

Shopping -- Houston has it all.
The Galleria is the 4th largest mall in the United States with 375 stores!  If you can't find it there, it may not exist.
Two outlet malls are also at you command.  Chelsea Premium Outlets Mall and Katy Mills Mall.
You may even want to arrange a trip to the outlets in San Marcus.

Antiquing Anyone?
Houston has it all there also.  From Pez Dispensers, old records to authentic Texas furniture and very fine European Antiques.  The opportunities are so diverse that you must give us a clue as to what your tastes are.
In the spring and the fall The Round Top Antique Festival is only a couple of hours away.  It offers one of the largest Antique buying opportunities in the United States.  One day up there only gets you started.

Old Town Spring offers a  wonderful collection of shops of all kinds --- crafts, antiques, dolls, gifts, Texas and western items, garden ornaments and much much more.  Numerous restaurants dot the area also.  Old Town Spring is a great place to get away to for a day and really enjoy yourself.

Texas History is alive and well in Historic Richmond and the adjacent town of Rosenberg.  Richmond was founded by many notables from the Texas Old 300 Settlers.  Several are buried in the old Morton Cemetery  -- among them are Mirabeau Lamar, the 2nd President of the Republic of Texas and Jane Long, who was know as the Mother of Texas.  The George Ranch Historical Park, The Fort Bend County Museum and The Railroad Museum present wonderful pictures of Texas's past.
And in October we will hunt for Ghosts most Friday & Saturday nighst in Historic Old Richmond.
